Thank you all for volunteering as tent parent for Meet #5 tomorrow! This is an AWAY MEET. Sugar Land Sharks 225 St. Theresa Blvd  (Please see Erinn Webber's email for parking information)

PLEASE READ ALL THE DIRECTIONS BELOW!

PLEASE ALSO READ THE ATTACHMENT FOR MORE INSTRUCTIONS!!

1. Swimmers are supposed to arrive at 3:50pm, so please be in your tent at 3:45, so you can be ready to check in the swimmers as they arrive.

2. There is a clipboard for each group that will have the list of swimmers, their GG#, and their events for the meet. The first Tent Parent to arrive should pick that up plus a couple of Sharpie markers from Tent Parent Box.

3. As swimmers arrive mark them with their GG # (on the back of the swimmer’s Left shoulder and back of their Left hand.) PLUS mark all their events as listed on the first heat sheet. Do both of these right away when they arrive. And place a check mark by their name to check them in. (The attached instruction sheet gives detailed instructions on how to mark the swimmer. A copy will also be attached to the clipboard). No SUNSCREEN or BUG SPRAY should be applied on the left side until AFTER a swimmer is marked.

4. Once the 2nd Heat Sheet arrives. Highlight the 1st and 3rd swimmers for the relays!! As shown on the attached instructions. Coach Rachel will come around to each tent as we get close to the start of the meet. That is the time to tell her about any issues/problems on the heat sheets (ex: missing swimmers).

5. Make sure the kids stay in their tents between events - and that they follow the rules (no ball playing, no going to the playground, etc.). Just be clear with the swimmers that this is a Geysers League Rule. Swimmers are to remain in their tents until a parent comes and checks them out.

6. Escort them to the pool and back for each event. The order of events will be attached to the clipboards.

7. When a swimmer's events are completed, their parent must sign them out. You can simply have them initial by their child’s name on the list with the GG #s.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR YOUNGER SWIMMERS!!  Many parents are working the whole meet.  Please stay with the swimmer until a parent checks them out.

8. Help as needed with tent takedown and have the swimmers clean up trash, organize their things all through the meet. Return the clipboard and markers to the Tent Parent box. I will be around the 6 & under girls tent. Let me know if you have questions or need something. I will also have a first aid kit and fire ant killer for parents to borrow.
